Plunderly Companion is a desktop application that helps Puzzle Pirates players track stats from their own gameplay. The app runs entirely on your computer. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information, and it does not send any data to Plunderly or to third parties.
To do its job, Plunderly Companion reads files that the Puzzle Pirates game writes to a folder you choose:
Plain-text logs written by the game. The app parses lines to compute battle, voyage, and greedy-counter stats.
Duty-report screenshots taken in-game. The app scans them locally to extract score data.
You explicitly select the folder the first time you launch the app. The app only accesses files inside that folder.
The app saves a small amount of state on your local machine so it can resume where you left off:
The path of the folder you selected and the chat log file you are tracking. Stored in the app's user-data directory as live-parsing.json.
Short hashes (SHA-1) of screenshots you have already scanned or dismissed, so the app does not prompt you about the same image twice. No image content is stored.
Settings such as your scoring preferences and last-viewed battle, stored in the browser-style localStorage that ships with the app.
All of this stays on your computer. You can delete it at any time by removing the folder permission inside the app or by uninstalling the app.
None. Plunderly Companion does not include analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or any other mechanism that transmits information about you, your device, or your gameplay to us or to any third party.
The app does not make outbound network requests during normal use. Future versions may check for updates; if that changes, this policy will be updated before the feature ships.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change and the new version will be published at this URL.
